I became a dietitian because I wanted to make a real impact on people’s lives through nutrition. As a traveling dietitian, I worked across the U.S. with a wide variety of patients in hospitals, and I quickly realized that the care provided often didn’t allow the time, education, or personalization needed to create true lifestyle change. Too often, patients were treated for their immediate needs but weren’t given the tools or support to feel empowered long-term. That experience inspired me to focus on building stronger connections with patients, providing personalized nutrition, and creating supportive relationships that spark real, lasting changes in health and well-being.

why im a dietitian
Becoming a dietitian wasn't always the plan, as I spent six years working in the fashion industry as a designer. But during that time, I noticed that diet culture was everywhere. Fad diets and weight loss seemed to be the topic of discussion all the time, which made me realize how much I wanted to focus on helping people make informed decisions about their health. That's what led me to pursue a career in dietetics, and I'm so glad I did!
