I believe food is so much more than just fuel. Food is healing, it's comforting, it's fun, and it's a way we connect with other people. For my family, food is a way we show love, and it's how I choose to care for others. With all of the conflicting information about nutrition out there, I want to help others navigate the "food noise" and find what works best for them. I am excited to help clients care for their bodies, prevent/manage diseases, and make peace with food.
FAVORITE FOOD
Nachos - of any variety!
in my free time you'll find me
Walking my two large dogs (who are actually walking me), at crossfit, or reading by the pool. I love being active just as much as I love vegging out.
education
I have a bachelors degree in Exercise Sciences from the University of South Carolina as well as a bachelors degree in Nutrition Sciences from the University of Alabama. I completed a private dietetic internship through Keith and Associates Distance Dietetic Internship (KADDI).
why im a dietitian
My family has always shown each other love through food, thus I am very passionate about caring for others through food as well. My father is a retired physician and had always inspired me to pursue a career in healthcare. In my efforts toward becoming an exercise physiologist/PT, I became more and more interested in my nutrition courses and found my passion. I believe food is medicine and it's an underutilized tool to prevent and manage disease. Nutrition is a tricky thing to navigate and, as someone who has fallen victim to diet culture in the past, I am excited that as a dietitian I am able to marry my desire to respect and protect our physical health with efforts to respect and protect our mental health as well.
