Meet Alana

I always knew I wanted to be a dietitian, and providing individual counseling is where my passion lies. I love getting to know each of my clients on a personal level because we are all on our own health journeys, and nutrition looks different for everyone. It brings me so much joy seeing people take control of their own health outcomes, and find the satisfaction that comes from creating a positive relationship with food along the way.

FAVORITE FOOD

Pizza! I am always up for a good New York slice!

in my free time you'll find me

Spending time outside whenever possible (in the summer I frequent the Jersey Shore). I enjoy golfing in the warm weather, and skiing in the winter! Living in the outskirts of Manhattan, I love exploring local restaurants, coffee shops, or workout studios in the area.- I am always open to giving/receiving recommendations!

education

For my undergraduate degree I majored in Dietetics and minored in Health and Wellness at University of Delaware. I completed my Master’s of Science in Nutrition and Dietetic Internship from Saint Elizabeth University in Morristown, NJ.

why im a dietitian

In high school a family member was diagnosed with celiac disease which resulted in significant dietary changes in my household. This sparked my interest in the holistic and healing abilities that nutrition has on the body. I work hard to remind people that food is not the enemy. I help my clients heal their relationship with food and challenge deep rooted diet beliefs as a vital part of the healing journey.
