Hi! I’m Micca—a non-diet Registered Dietitian with 20+ years of experience and a lifelong journey of unraveling diet culture right alongside you.
While a large part of my career has been rooted in weight management, bariatric/metabolic surgery, and nutrition medications, I’ve seen one thing over and over again—extremes don’t work.
My job? To help you find the magic in the middle.
I believe nutrition doesn’t have to feel like a chore—or a complicated math problem you’re constantly trying to solve. We lead busy lives, and deciding what to eat should be the least stressful thing on your plate (literally and figuratively).
I’m here to help you feel confident in your own eating style, ditch the diet rules, and take small, realistic steps toward your health goals—while celebrating every win along the way!
Alongside my non-diet approach, I’m currently working toward board certification in functional nutrition, with a growing focus on women’s health and menopause. This allows me to dig deeper into the “why” behind how your body feels and help you find simple, sustainable ways to nourish it back to your best self.
Because at the end of the day, eating should feel good, not complicated!
why im a dietitian
It’s often speculated that many people go into the line of work where they have had a personal experience or struggle. While I have always had a passion for cooking, how food works with your body and being active…my first diet was at 7 years old, and that mentality followed me through my adolescent and young adult years. Food was seen through the lens of rules, numbers, and labels. Nutrition not only felt confusing to me, but honestly…exhausting.
After years of watching people and having my own challenges around feeling stuck between extremes, constantly starting over, and second-guessing every food choice, I knew there had to be a better way.
And the more I experienced it myself—unraveling diet culture and learning to trust my own body—the more I felt called to help others do the same!
FAVORITE FOOD
I have SO many! If I had to pick…fajita nachos, coffee, and chocolate chip cookies (soft not crunchy!)
